During today’s search, members of the Federal Police Administration (FUP) also found a large amount of weapons. More precisely, we are talking about rifles and small arms.

As Klix.ba learns, the Stari Grad Municipality acquired the weapons for the needs of the shooting clubs during the mandate of Mayor Ibrahim Hadžibajrić, but it is not clear why the weapons were kept in the municipality’s premises.

According to unofficial information, there are tens of weapons.

Today’s searches were carried out by order of the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor’s Office in the continuation of the investigation against the former chief Hadžibajrić. Contracts concluded by the municipality and other documents are also being investigated.

Members of the special unit were deployed around the municipality building today in the afternoon, and there were inspectors in the building who conducted searches with the aim of seizing evidence that will be used in the further investigation.

We will remind you that Ibrahim Hadžibajrić and Alma Destanović were arrested at the beginning of May as part of the operational action codenamed “Start”, which was carried out by police officers of the MUP Police Directorate of the Sarajevo Canton under the supervision of the prosecutors of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Prosecutor’s Office of Sarajevo Canton. This is the result of several months of intensive cooperation with international police partners, primarily EUROPOL, but also the FBI.

Elmedin Karišik, Seid Hadžibajrić, Mehmed Dedić and Emina Rogo were also arrested in the same operation.
