Political Changes in BiH require 200.000 Diaspora Voters

President of the Homeland Forces Movement Ahmed Husagic thinks that the votes of the diaspora can be crucial for political changes in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) after the General Elections.

In an interview for the portal of the BiH diaspora, BHInfoDesk, he reminded that the mentioned movement is already working on the fact that as many citizens in the diaspora use their right to vote. This includes visiting a number of European cities.

It is important to say that he pointed out that the registration of those who want to vote has already begun and that it will last until July 19th. All those wishing to register can do so on the website of the Central Election Commission (CEC).

He is sure that the elections will be held and that they may be prolonged due to difficulties in financing. He claims that in the last general elections, the SNSD and HDZ won more votes from the diaspora than the pro-Bosnian parties.

“Unfortunately, that is true. I cannot understand that anti-Bosnian forces have more will and motivation to destroy the state than pro-Bosnian forces to defend and build it. I have no explanation. Let each of us ask why this is so and let people act. It is possible to change the situation, ” noted Husagic.

His estimate is that 200.000 registered voters would be enough for political change.

“Absolutely. That would greatly change the political landscape in the homeland and open the possibility of its progress. If everything remains the same, there will be no progress,” he stressed.

He also claims that no one from the Homeland Forces Movement will be a candidate in the elections. To recall,Husagic was an official of the Social Democratic Party of Austria (SPO) until his recent return to BiH.
