Pope Francis took to social media and called on the warring parties in the Gaza Strip to end the conflict.

“I am still thinking about the serious situation in Palestine and Israel where many, many people have lost their lives. For God’s sake, please stop. Stop using weapons! I hope that ways will be sought so that the escalation of the conflict can be absolutely avoided,” wrote the Pope.
He also used the opportunity to call for the release of the hostages.

“Let us think of the children, of all the children affected by this war, as well as in Ukraine and other conflicts. This is how their future is being killed. Let us pray that maybe there is strength to say ‘enough’,” the pope wrote.

The latest information says that 9,770 people, including 4,800 children and 2,550 women, have been killed in Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip.
