Yesterday, in the Paul VI Hall, Pope Francis welcomed the children and young people from Bosnia and Herzegovina who participated in a special program that allows life in a neutral environment for children from different backgrounds. This time it was Sicily.
Sponsored by the Association Luciano Lama, this program has enabled children from Catholic, Orthodox and Muslim backgrounds to spend time together as brothers and sisters. The program will last from 19th December to 21st January.
“Young Catholics, Orthodox and Muslims, in this way you will preserve the hope to live in a more fraternal, more just and more peaceful world that is more honest. Stay always still in the faith and pray for peace and unity of your country and the rest of the world. From my heart I want to thank the host families in the example of love and Christian solidarity: children should always be defended and protected”, said Pope Francis.
Moreover, he sends a message to youth to remain firm in the faith and to pray for the peace and unity of BiH and around the world.
