PopisMonitor: Many Citizens in B&H Unregistered

popismonitorBefore the official completion of B&H Census, PopisMonitor received numerous calls and online reports from citizens who were not registered.

“More than 20 people from the municipality Center Sarajevo, Novi Grad Sarajevo, Stari Grad Sarajevo, Ilidža, Tuzla, Travnik, Brcko and Doboj called us during the last two days claiming that they were not registered, and that the enumerators never showed up at their home addresses or left any notification of their arrival until 15th October, announced PopisMonitor.

Many citizens have complained that even the enumerators did come once, and after leaving a notice of coming again, they never showed up again.

Besides, many citizens have informed the PopisMonitor that during the census they were absent from B&H for less than a year and their houses were empty and no one could register them, nor did they by the law, be able to register via the questionnaire for citizens living abroad because it is intended only for people living outside of B&H for more than 12 months.

Therefore, many citizens of B&H have remained unregistered, although many of them waited until the last day for the enumerators to come to their doors.
