Twenty-one years old taxi driver Haris Polic from Zavidovici, delighted public in Bosnia and Herzegovina after announcing that he would transport children with disabilities and similar illnesses free of charge and their parents to the hospital.

According to Avaz, newspapers he decided to take this step after realizing that their parents do not have enough money to pay a taxi.

Earlier, he also drove for free to elderly locals who had no money for a taxi.

“However, unfortunately, there are many ill children in Zavidovici, we also have the Association “Little Mermaid”, so I decided to be socially useful and humane,” he says.

He points out that he has received many messages of support from all over BiH and that it means a lot to him. Although it is difficult to make for a living today working as a taxi driver, especially in smaller places like Zavidovici, Polic is not dissatisfied.

“I earn enough to afford the basic things, not to suffer,” said Polic, adding that he hoped that by his example he would encourage others to take such or similar humane steps.
