President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik yesterday announced the possibility for the RS to approve the adapted Stabilization and Association Agreement between BiH and EU, if Germany offers an acceptable damage compensation for agricultural producers and manufacturers.
Dodik said that he will meet with the German federal minister for agriculture on July 13 and discuss the possible adaptation of the SAA, as well as the possible damage compensation for agricultural producers and manufacturers in accordance with the promise made by the German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
“If there are some acceptable agreements, primarily for the users, we will do this. The headword is on agricultural producers and manufacturers. If they are satisfied with certain arrangements, then we can move forward,” Dodik said in a press statement in Bratunac.
Speaking about the possible referendum in the RS on January 9, the Day of RS, that has been disputed by the Constitutional Court of BiH, Dodik said that “it would be optimal if the referendum was held one week prior to local elections”.
Dodik yesterday attended the memorial service for Serb victims of the middle Podrinje and Birče held in Bratunac, where he stated that it is crucial that the Serb victims are not forgotten.
