The New York Metropolitan Museum of Art is aware of the recent events concerning the National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina, so they offered their kindest hospitality to the Sarajevo Haggadah.

The president of the Jewish community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Jakob Finci, said: ” The New York Metropolitan Museum of Art knows about the unfortunate fate of the National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina, so they offered their hospitality to the Sarajevo Haggadah for a year, two or three, as much as it will be necessary”. Finci also added how 6 million people visit the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art.

The New York Metropolitan Museum of Art also offered to organize round tables, lectures and conferences on the topic of the Sarajevo Haggadah. This would help to shape the image of Sarajevo and Bosnia and Herzegovina, and it would be a significant help for the National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
