[wzslider autoplay=”true”]Greetings from Sarajevo 1993 – postcards and posters from the war Sarajevo are among the most valuable works of art created during the siege.
Dada and Bojan Hadžihalilović and Lela Mulabegović Hatt, former students of the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo, were the designers team Trio which acquired reputation throughout the former Yugoslavia in the second half of the 1980s.
In the besieged Sarajevo, Trio continued its artistic work, which resulted in a capital collection of posters and postcards showing redesigned symbols of pop culture of the 20th century, presented from the brutal war perspective.
Two decades after the end of the war, audience in Sarajevo and many tourists will have an opportunity to see these works at the exhibition “Greetings from Sarajevo 1993” which is to be displayed in the Gallery 11/07/95 as of June 17, and it will be on display until May 2017.
Apart from the authors Bojan and Dalida Dada Hadžihalilović, the exhibition will be opened by Manuela Gandini, an art historian from Milano, Ibrahim Hadžibajrić, Mayor of the Municipality of Stari Grad Sarajevo, and Tarik Samarah, photographer and founder of the Gallery 11/07/95.
Lejla Mulabegović Hatt now lives and works in Switzerland, while Dada and Bojan Hadžihalilović are co-founders and co-owners of the agency Fabrika-Sarajevo, which deals with design, computer graphics, TV animation, production of TV videos and marketing communication.
The exhibition is accompanied by a detailed catalogue whose introduction was written by the BiH writer of global importance, Aleksandar Hemon.
