There is clear commitment of both BiH and Macedonia to the solving of this issue, stated Crnadak and Popovski after the meeting, which was the first bilateral meeting prior to today’s meeting of ministers of foreign affairs of member countries of the Central European Initiative.

The head of BiH diplomacy reminded that similar agreements have already been reached with Serbia and Montenegro, and that BiH will do everything it takes to solve this issue with Macedonia as soon as possible, too.

At the meeting, ministers also discussed joint use of certain embassies. An agreement was recently signed between the two countries about that, and until the verification if completed, the mixed commission of the two ministries will negotiate on the possible first joint embassies of BiH and Macedonia.

Crnadak said that the focus will be on London, Madrid and Ottawa.

Minister Popovski also expressed expectation that citizens of his country and of BiH will soon cross the border with ID card only.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH Igor Crnadak is to host the meeting of ministers of foreign affairs of member countries of the Central European Initiative which is to be held in Banja Luka today, within the framework of the chairmanship of BiH in the CEI.

This is one of the most important and the largest regional gathering of ministers of foreign affairs in the region.

The topics which are to be discussed are impact of regional cooperation on the process of EU integration, migration crisis and fight against terrorism, strengthening of regional cooperation in sustainable development projects, strengthening of business ties, and improvement of transportation and energy connectivity.
