The gala premiere of “Majstor” on 7 September will officially open the 64th theatre and concert season of the Bosnian National Theatre (BNP) Zenica, and in this play the main role will be by Miralem Zupčević.
At a press conference on 15 August, it was announced that the artistic plan would include eight premieres, and a youth and puppet stage.
The Director of BNP Hazim Begagić said that the audience could expect a colorful season in terms of genre, as well as with theatre form and content, as well as cooperation with directors such as Lajla Kaikčija, Selma Spahić and Aida Bukvić.
The play “Conquest of Happiness” by director Haris Pašović will take place on 21st and 22nd September in Northern Ireland at this year’s European Capital of Culture Derry/Londonderry, and after that will have its B&H premiere in Mostar under the Old Bridge at the opening of this year’s International Theatre Festival MESS in Sarajevo on 28 and 29 September.
After the B&H premiere, the play will be performed in the region and again in Northern Ireland, announced BNP Zenica.
The coproduction is one of the biggest European theatre productions in 2013, with the participation of artists from B&H, Northern Ireland, Ireland, Slovenia, Italy and Belgium.
