The film “Blum: Masters of Their Future” by Jasmila Žbanić, co-produced by BHRT, premiered on Friday evening at the Bosnian Cultural Center in Sarajevo.

The premiere of the film about Emerik Blum, a scientist, industrialist and head of “Energoinvest”, brought together numerous celebrities.

It is the story of a man who turned this company from a factory with 70 workers into an economic giant with more than 50 thousand employees, a man who transformed Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina and the former Yugoslavia.

In war-torn Bosnia and Herzegovina, Emerik Blum turned a small office with a few employees into a successful global company Energoinvest, which led Bosnia and Herzegovina and the whole of Yugoslavia forward to today’s unimaginable successes and prosperity.

At Energoinvest, employees used computers as early as the 1970s, email communication in the 1980s, they produced in their factories and exported to all continents. Each employee received an apartment and a free annual vacation from the company.

How was that possible? Have the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina forgotten who and what they once were with people like Emerik Blum? – are questions asked by Jasmila Žbanić, BHRT writes.
