VH-PobunjenikMK-Sarajevo-2014-58The show “Insurgent M.K.”, directed by Nermin Hamzagić, , will have its premiere on Wednesday, 16 April 2014 in the framework of Memory Module, as the first premiere of MESS Theater in which production National theater and EastWest Center will take part. The ensemble is made up of 6 actors and actresses:  Amar Selimović, Maja Izetbegović, Dženana Džanić, Vedrana Seksan, Aco Seksan and Enes Salković, on the stage with a minimum of tools and costumes. They will narrate the fragments from Klajstov’s Kolhas, the piece which is relevant even today, because it calls on rebellion against an unjust system, but also warns on the limit in its anger, which cannot be over crossed.

“With the premiere of Insurgent M.K., we initiate MESS Theater as the continuity of the perennial productions and co productions of foreign and domestic shows of Festival MESS. Some of those shows entered in the anthology of contemporary Bosnian theater history. This show is an ideal start of the new theater scene opened for stage exploration and engaging theater”, said Dino Mustafić, the director of the International Theater festival MESS. Moreover, he added that MESS theater announces the need for the beginning of the process of redefinition of theater institutions in this time of recession.

Asja Krsmanović did the dramaturgy of the show. Part of the artistic team is composed of costume designer from duo OshYosh – Vanja Ciraj and Irma Saje, scenery by Adisa Vatreš, music contributor is Tijana Vignjević and the choreographer is Thomas Steayert. Goran Lizdek was in charge of the graphic design.

Tickets for the show can be bought at the box office of the National theater, and all those who did not have the opportunity to watch the premiere, can watch it on Friday, 18 April in the same time.
