The national handball team of B&H had its first training yesterday in Qatar shortly before performing at the World Championship. Despite the fact that the players were tired because they arrived to Qatar the same day, they trained at full pelt led by the selector Dragan Marković.
“On Tuesday we are playing against Portugal and afterwards we will have two matches against Qatar. Here in Doha, everything is top, the food is excellent, the hosts are kind, there is absolutely no problem what so ever, we are very pleased. Some of our players were already here two years ago with the junior selection so they already feel like at home here. Nothing is changed. We wish only good health for our players when the championship begins.” – stated Mirza Muzurović, director of the national team of B&H.
Today the team has another training and a match against Portugal afterwards. At the WC, B&H will perform in the group B, along with the teams of Croatia, Macedonia, Austria, Tunis and Iran. The first match is scheduled for January 16 against Iran.
