The kindergartens in Banja Luka within the Center for Preschool Education will continue their strike from Monday, October 20th and will work according to the new act on the minimum work, and only four large facilities will accept nursery groups, i.e. children up to three years old.

The president of the trade union organization Slađana Mišić told Srna that work for nursery groups will be organized in the kindergartens “Neven”, “Plavi čuperak”, “Naša djeca” and the kindergarten “Marija Mažar”, which are attended by children with developmental disabilities.

The kindergartens within this Center went on strike this week, organizing a minimum work to express dissatisfaction because they are not up to the 20 percent increase plan, which has been in place since before.

At a session on Tuesday, the union of employees at the Center demanded the signing of a collective agreement that would increase the salaries of all employees by 20 percent.

Employees at this center, which operates 33 kindergartens, held peaceful protests in mid-June, as well as a warning strike in July and September.
