The official beginning of the project ‘Support to Durable Solutions of Revised Annex VII Dayton, Peace Agreement Implementation Strategy”, funded by the EU and co-funded by the UNHCR, will be marked on Monday, 28 APril at 10:00 at the EU Delegation to B&H (Skenderija 3a) in Sarajevo.
There will be addresses by Ambassador Peter Sorensen, Head of the EU Delegation to BIH/EUSR and Damir Ljubic, the B&H Minister for Human Rights and Refugees and Andrew Mayne, UNHCR Representative in B&H.
The main objective of the project is to engage national authorities and civil society at all levels and across all sectors in a coordinated and prioritized plan to implement the commitments they made in the Dayton Peace Agreement Annex VII Revised Strategy to identify and resolve the remaining obstacles to find solutions for the most vulnerable displaced and returnee families.
The total project value is 8,107,500 Euros, out of which the EU financed 7 million Euros from IPA 2012. The remaining funds in the amount of 1,107,500 Euros were provided by UNHCR.
The project will be implemented in the next 36 months by United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in cooperation with the partner organizations: United Nations Development Programme, the United Nations Children’s Fund, the International Organization for Migrations, the Hilsfswerk Austria International, The Bosnian Humanitarisn Logistics Service, the Foundation of Local Democracy and the Vasa Prava BIH and B&H authorities at all levels.
