Presentation of the Draft Law on Infertility Treatment

mboThe Ministry of Health of FB&H will organize today a press briefing, where the draft law on the fertility treatment through biomedical assisted reproduction will be presented for the media.

The Assistant of Minister of Health of Federation, prim. Dr. Marina Bera, and the Chairman of the Expert Working Group prof. Dr. Senad Mehmedbašić, which worked on the technical guidelines for the Draft Law will present the draft law and the suggested solution.

The government of FB&H at the proposal of the Federal Ministry of Health accepted the draft law on fertility treatment through biomedical assisted reproduction at the session held on 8 May 2012 and sent it for regular parliamentary procedure. The House of Representatives of the FB&H Parliament and the House of Peoples of the FB&H Parliament adopted the law.

In accordance with the conclusions of both Houses of Parliament of FB&H a public hearing for a period of 90 days will be conducted. The final session of the public hearing in cooperation with the Committee of Health of the FB&H House of Representatives and with technical assistance from USAID, “Strengthening government institutions and processes in B&H” will be held on 7 November 2013 at the big hall of the FB&H Parliament.
