Presentation of the Project “Improvement of Conditions for Personal and Independent Voting of People with Disabilities”

glasanjeThe Chairman of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of B&H Denis Bećirović will receive today representatives of associations and international organizations that implement the project “Improvement of conditions for personal and independent voting of persons with disabilities“.

On this occasion, the representatives of the Association of the Visually Impaired People of Sarajevo Canton, the Association of Election Officials in B&H, USAID B&H and the associations Everyone counts (USA) that is implementing this project will introduce modern technological equipment that enable people with different degrees of disability to independently fill the voting form at the voting location.

At the same time, with the equipping of polling stations with the equipment and the facilitation of  private and independent voting for persons with disabilities, our country would act in accordance with the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and the Optional Protocol which was signed in 2009.
