Presidency Members hosted high NATO Officials: Solid Commitment to Reforms

Presidency members of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) yesterday hosted admiral James Foggo, North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Joint Force Command Naples, and general sir James Everard, deputy commander of the Joint Force for Europe.

At the beginning of the meeting, members of the BiH Presidency met the guests with the current situation in the country, with particular reference to the reforms implementation. It has been emphasized that additional efforts are being made in order to overcome obstacles and dynamise activities on necessary reforms. There was satisfaction with the progress made in the defense reform process, which was particularly concerned with the adoption of the Defense Review document.

The topic of the talks, attended by EUFOR representatives, was also BiH’s participation in peacekeeping missions in the world, the need for better equipment of the Armed Forces of BiH in order to assist the civilian population, and to help demining and the creating of a stable and secure environment. The commitment and support of NATO and EUFOR at the reform path of BiH were reiterated.

Members of the BiH Presidency thanked for their support so far, and expressed hope that the good cooperation will be continued in the future.
