The Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina should consider this year’s Draft Budget and International Obligations of BiH Institutions at the session scheduled for today, which was previously sent to the procedure by the BiH Council of Ministers.

All last year, as well as this year, state institutions have been functioning on decisions on temporary financing, which enabled only the financing of basic budget payments and external debt, but not the realization of important projects.

After the declaration of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which according to the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina is the actual proposer of the budget of the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the procedure continues in both houses of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

On May 27, the draft law on the budget of institutions and international obligations was sent to the procedure by the State Minister of Finance and Treasury, Vjekoslav Bevanda (Croatian Democratic Union – HDZ).

According to the Draft, the budget of BiH for this year amounts to 1,073,600,000 KM, of which the allocation of revenues from indirect taxes for the level of BiH is 865,500,000 KM, and the rest is own revenues.

If the Presidency of BiH reaches an agreement today on one of the most important financial documents of the state, it will be sent to the parliamentary procedure where it should be adopted in both houses of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH.
