The Presidency of Bosnia-Herzegovina announced on Saturday that it is monitoring with great concern the recent developments in Iraq. They recall that Bosnia-Herzegovina joined the EU’s Statement of Protest in Iraq last November.
“Giving great importance to the stability of Iraq and the entire region, the Presidency of Bosnia-Herzegovina condemns the attack on the United States Embassy in Baghdad, as well as on the base of coalition forces, and expects the Government of Iraq to conduct a swift and effective investigation and take all measures to ensure this similar event prevented in a timely manner.
“Bosnia-Herzegovina considers it necessary to avoid further escalation of conflict and violence, and sincerely hopes that restraint on all sides will contribute to maintaining peace in the region,” was stated by the Presidency of BiH.
