President of the Assembly of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton Assembly Ramiz Jelovac resigned this morning. In a telephone interview for Fena, he said that he did this due to ‘’personal and moral reasons’’.
He added that now it is up to the club of Bosniaks that should propose a new candidate for the President of the Assembly, and Luka Faletar, Deputy President of the Assembly, who has the authority to convene a session of the Assembly.
It is learned from Luka Faletar that he has not yet been informed on the resignation of the President of the Assembly, and that he will have more information throughout the day. It is interesting that a meeting of the Assembly is expected to take place next week, but since the new turn of events, the Assembly must first elect a new President.
The Plenum of the citizens of Mostar asked for Jelovac’s resignation on Wednesday, after the Assembly, which scheduled the next meeting for 28 February, said it would consider two of the four demands of the Plenum.
Now the question is whom will the Plenum address, given that the Assembly is without a President.
