On the occasion of Mostar’s Blues & Rock Festival, on Friday, 19th July at the Hotel “Bristol” in Mostar at 10:30 pm there will be a press conference, attended by the members of the group ‘Ten Years After’ and the owner of the Grammy Awards, Sugar Blue.
At this year’s 11th edition of the traditional music festival, which will be held in Mostar on 18th to 20th July, there will performances of eleven groups and the organizers have managed to secure performances by artists such as Grammy Award-winning Sugar Blue, a cult band Ten Years After and American guitar virtuoso Lance Lopez. Besides them, there are other groups such as Drugi Način, Yu Group, Urban & 4 and Partibrejkers.
Even this year, riders from the Herzegovina motorcycle clubs and the owners of classic cars will come through the city, announcing in this way the beginning of the festival. The parade will be held on Wednesday, 17th July, after which at the Rock bar “Košćela” from 21 pm will start an acoustic blues concert and blues-rock.
Also, as part of this year’s festival, on Friday, 19th July, at the MC Pavarotti, at 11:45 am, members of the band Ten Years After will organize masterclass workshop supported by the British Council and will be open for all those interested.
In addition to the musical part of the workshop, in which the members of this group will demonstrate their experience on the instrument, it will be very interesting to hear the details of the legendary Woodstock festival, where they performed,and about the time when the group played the guitar hero Alvin Lee, as well as the most important studio works.
