The prices of black gold on the world market is rapidly moving towards the round number of 40 USD per barrel in the last 7 days.
After it reached the value of 45 USD per barrel on the 21st of July, at least on the US oil market, the decline did not stop until Thursday when it recorded the price of 41 USD.
Similar decline was recorded in Europe as well, where the price of crude oil on Thursday was around 43 USD per barrel. Graphs in both the United States and the European market show a sharp decline in the value that was registered last time in the period from the 9th to 16th of June. The relatively sharp decline then lasted for 8 days.
Thus, the price of oil fell by almost 9 % on the 21st of July, both the American WTI and European Brent. If the trend continues, it is possible that we will see the price of oil in the amount of 40 or 39 USD next week.
