The level of consumer prices in Bosnia and Herzegovina in May this year compared to May last year was 3.7 percent higher.
Food and non-alcoholic beverages are more expensive on average by 9.9 percent, alcoholic beverages and tobacco by four percent, housing and overhead costs by 0.2 percent, furniture, household appliances and regular home maintenance by 0.6 percent, healthcare by 6.4 percent, communications by 0.4 percent, recreation and culture by 4.4 percent, education by 0.8 percent, restaurants and hotels by 6.2 percent, and other goods and services by three percent.
The average price drop was recorded for clothing and footwear by 8.2 percent and transportation by 6.4 percent, according to data from the BiH Statistics Agency.
The prices of products and services in May compared to April this year, on average, increased by 0.2 percent.
In May compared to the previous month of this year, an average increase in the prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages by 0.9 percent, alcoholic beverages and tobacco by 0.2 percent, furniture, household appliances and regular home maintenance by 1.1 percent, healthcare by 0.4 percent, recreation and culture by 1.1 percent, education by 0.2 percent, restaurants and hotels by 0.9 percent, and other goods and services by 0.5 percent was recorded.
In May compared to April of this year, on average, prices of clothing and footwear fell by 0.1 percent, housing and overhead costs by 0.9 percent, and transportation by 1.9 percent.
