The President of the Republika Srpska (RS), Milorad Dodik, announced that the Prime Minister of Hungary, Viktor Orban, will soon visit Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH).

At the press conference in Banja Luka, Dodik said that the visit is being arranged and will be realized in the coming days.

As it was emphasized, within this visit, Orban should first arrive in Sarajevo, where he will meet with officials at the highest level.

After his visit to Sarajevo, Orban will travel to Banja Luka, where he will meet with representatives of the entity government.

Viktor Orban was supposed to visit BiH at the beginning of 2022, but that visit was canceled. The Prime Minister of Hungary was supposed to come to Sarajevo on January 25th at the invitation of the then chairman of the Council of Ministers, Zoran Tegeltija.

The Prime Minister of Hungary previously met with Milorad Dodik in Budapest, and the topics discussed were related to energy projects.

Viktor Orban has already been in BiH but on a private visit to Milorad Dodik, whom he met at Dodik’s private estate in Laktasi. Along with Orban, Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs Peter Szijjarto was also present at that meeting.
