The Sarajevo Company HDI, which began with production of solar collectors three months ago, offered a presentation of their new potential to customers at the International Economic Fair that is being held in Mostar until 13 April.
This is a BiH product that is used for water heating and reheating of living space.
The Director of the company HDI Haris Jana said that Herzegovina is an interesting market because this area has the most amounts of sunny days in BiH, and for this reason he expects a higher interest from buyers from this area. He said that the installation of these panels does not have to wait for legislation regulations and that his company has trained workers for production and installation of solar collectors.
Even though production started only a few months ago, there is already expressed interest of buyers.
“We already have two or three buyers where solar collectors will be installed, and will exclusively be used for hot water and heating purposes”, said Djana.
Otherwise, support for entrepreneurs that had a wish to start the production of solar collectors is given through the project “Solar Energy as an Opportunity for Sustainable Development”, which was led by the microcredit foundation Partner with the support of USAID that educated 20 entrepreneurs from BiH for the production and assembly of solar collectors/systems.
In addition to free training, the entrepreneurs were ensured financial funds (loan and grant) in order to provide an incentive for carrying out this activity.
