Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations Mirko Sarovic said that dairy “Padjeni” from Bileca, which is one of the most respected dairy in Republika Srpska (RS), will get the permission to export products to the EU in the upcoming days.
“According to Rule, local institutions give the license, or more specifically the Veterinary Office,” said Sarovic, noting that the company has the full support of the Ministry because it’s one of the best collectives in Eastern Herzegovina and the second dairy by the volume of production in RS. Sarovic emphasized that he is convinced that this is a modern facility with about 90 employees, which processes over 40,000 liters of milk daily, noting that the dairy is ready to place its products throughout the market of EU.
Owner of dairy ‘Padjeni’, Nenad Vukoje thanked for the support, emphasizing that it is incentive for their employees and himself to work even better, adding that exports to the EU market will mean a lot to them. “This year, we are planning to expand the capacity by 20,000 liters. We purchased most of the equipment, and we will install it these days,” said Vukoje and added that they finished project documentation for expansion of the facility for about 800 m2.
Director of the Veterinary Office Ljubomir Kalaba said that dairy “Padjeni” deserves all the attention and that the next week will be formed Commission, which will determine whether they comply with the procedures required by the European Commission.
“Based on what we have seen, there is no doubt in this dairy,” said Kalaba and explained that the Commission will make a report on the basis of which the company will be registered on the European list. According to him, in a month to 40 days dairy “Padjeni” will be able to export to EU countries.
Sarovic visited facilities of the company for processing of leather “Bilkon” in Bileca, and spoke with the director Nikola Nosovic about the business plans of this company. “Bilkon” is the only company in Republika Srpska which deals with processing of leather.
