The complete program of the 23rd Sarajevo Film Festival was officially released yesterday.

Within 18 programs will be screened 235 movies, of which 111 films and 124 short films, including 137 feature, 70 documentary, and 28 animated films.

In the production or co-production will participate 54 countries and the SFF will host a total of 43 world and 23 international premieres.

Director and founder of the SFF Miro Purivatra emphasized that on this SFF will be screened films for “all souls and all generations”.

“The audience will have the opportunity to choose what to watch, including drama, action or comedy. We are organizing the festival in order for the audience to watch movies, and that is our message. We have great stories with great directors and actors, and they will bring a lot of exciting and funny moments. I am especially pleased that we have a strong BH program that gives a special feel to the festival and a complete insight into the BH film. I hope that the audience will enjoy the projections,” stated Purivatra.

The 23rd SFF will be officially opened on August 11, and it will last for the next eight days.

The famous American director Oliver Stone will receive the Honorary Heart of Sarajevo and legendary comedian John Cleese will receive the Honorary Heart of Sarajevo for a remarkable contribution to the art of film.

Ticket sale will take place at four box office locations: Main Box Office – (Bosnian Culture Center) Branilaca Sarajeva 24, Kino Meeting Point – Hamdije Kresevljakovica 13, Multiplex Cinema City – the Square of Children of Sarajevo and Art Cinema Kriterion / House of Shorts – Obala Kulina Bana 2.

Ticket prices will be between 3 BAM in MMC – Cinema Ilidza and Cinema Novi Grad up to 20 BAM, which will be the price for a ticket for the official ceremony that will take place at the National Theater.
