Mayor of Sarajevo Alija Behmen hosted yesterday EU Delegation and representatives of ”Mozaik” Foundation. The meeting was held on the occasion of realized activities of the project ”Sarajevo at the Crossroads of the World”, whose creator is ”Mozaik Foundation” and it is financed by the EU and City of Sarajevo, reports FENA.
The project connects all the institutions of culture of Sarajevo into a single tourist product with the aim of improving the tourist offer of Sarajevo and thus improving its economy.
Martine Schieder, Chief of the EU department for Economic Development, Natural Resources and Infrastructure said that finishing this project is very important, and congratulated Behmen on organising the European Youth Winter Olympic Festival 2017.
Executive Director of ”Mozaik” Foundation Vesna Bajšanski-Agić said that the foundation held the promotion of virtual tourist guide and cultural-historic routes of the city.
”Mozaik” Foundation created one of the most precise maps of Sarajevo which will be printed in 55 000 copies and distributed to all important locations in Sarajevo. As a part of the project they’ve created a brochure of oral tradition of Sarajevo citizens which has its French, BCS, Turkish, English and German Version.
