The Public Medical Institution and the Spa-Recreational Center Aquaterm is located in the center of Olovo, next to the place where the rivers Stupčanica and Bioštica merge to create the river Krivaja. The plan is to turn the present spa complex into a hotel with a pool complex and the Municipality of Olovo has recently presented the conceptual design.

Project of the construction of a pool complex is currently in the process of drafting the main project and the process of solving the legal and property issues.

With the construction of the pool complex, Aquaterm Olovo actually expands the existing capacities for offering services to the guests and patients, thus creating conditions for further development of the spa tourism at the territory of the Olovo Municipality.

The pool complex will be built at a surface area of 3.444 square meters. It will consist of an indoor and outdoor pool, wellness center, fitness center, a restaurant, as well as other amenities that such a facility includes.

“Construction of the complex will be divided into several stages. In the first stage we will build the indoor pool with following amenities and next year, in the second stage, we will build the outdoor pool,” stated the Director of Aquaterm, Senad Selimović.

The estimated value of the pool complex is 2.8 million BAM while the works in the first stage have been estimated to cost 1.5 million BAM. It is expected that the first works will begin already in early July, if there are no unforeseen difficulties in the process of implementation of public procurement procedures.

Completion of the first stage of construction is expected by the end of 2016.
