Study on environmental impact for operation of planned hydroelectric power plant Janjići with installed capacity of 16.00 MW is on public display at the Federal Ministry of Environment and Tourism, discovers business portal Akta.ba.
In May last year, representatives of the Federal Ministry of Energy, Mining and Industry and Elektroprivreda B&H signed the Concession Agreement for construction and operation of hydroelectric power plants “Janjići” on the Bosna River. Concession Agreement was concluded for a period of 30 years with possibility of extension.
The contract signing was preceded by preparatory activities. House of Representatives of the Federation of B&H approved the credits with the German Development Bank (KfW).
Total value of this project is 72, 2 million BAM.
The purpose of the construction of HPP Janjići, as pointed out in a Study on the impact on the environment, is to use the potential of the river Bosna for a reliable supply of electricity in the Federation of B&H. Hydroelectric power plant will be of flow type with the annual electricity production of 76 GWh.
Requirement processor for the issuance of the environmental permit – Studies on the environmental impact is consortium, Heise, OIKON and Geonatura, Sarajevo.
A public hearing will be held on January 15, 2016 in Sarajevo.
