Proposed Detention for Three Suspects in the Murder of Swede Harris Österdahl in Sarajevo

The Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office of the Canton of Sarajevo proposed the detention of three suspects for the murder of the Swede Harris Österdahl at Stup in Sarajevo.

Detention was proposed for Oliver Herbert Peter (born in 1997), who was arrested in Sokolac. In addition to him, detention was proposed for two other people who are linked to the murder of Österdahl.

As confirmed to Klix.ba by the Canton Sarajevo Prosecutor’s Office, detention was requested due to the danger of the suspects escaping, the fear that if they remain at large they could hinder the investigation, that is, conceal evidence and influence witnesses or accomplices, due to the danger of repeating the criminal offense, as well as due to fear that their release could result in public upheaval.

We will remind you that Österdahl was killed on Tuesday afternoon in front of the Bulevar residential complex in Stup. Elvir Murtić, who was next to Österdahl at the time of the shooting, suffered minor injuries.

Österdahl was labeled by the police in Sweden as the leader of the criminal network Vinsta, a drug-trafficking organization. At only 25 years old, he had as many as 21 indictments behind him.

In 2017, Österdahl was sentenced to four years in prison for being an organizer in a drug sales chain.

Among other things, Facebook was used to sell drugs.

If customers order over a certain weight, home delivery will be included. He was also sentenced to four years in prison for bribery, excessive driving speed, serious crimes involving drugs, weapons, doping and violation of the Weapons Act.

Through his lawyer Peter Dahlqvist, he has repeatedly denied any connection with the Vinsta clan, writes the Swedish Expressen.

Then, in 2020, Österdahl was sentenced to two years in prison for serious weapons-related crimes and more light drug-related crimes.

After his release, he was part of Foxtrot (criminal network in Sweden) and occupied a position just below the leadership layer.

Also, he was among the suspects for managing drug transport and committing violent acts for the organization: fights, shootings, and the like. This 30-year-old also had the nickname “Iceman” – an ice man.

His alias appeared in conversations and coded messages surrounding drug sales – most recently in an investigation into a major operation where customs police seized 800kg of Foxtrot’s drugs in December last year.

Last week, seven people were sentenced to prison terms in connection with large-scale drug trafficking, and Österdahl was not among those charged in the case, Klix.ba reports.

On Tuesday, thirty years old Swedish citizen Harris Osterdal was murdered in Sarajevo, and the Swedish media reported it as breaking news.

As the local Dagens Nyheter reports, the murdered Swedish citizen was connected to the infamous Raw Majid, better known as the Kurdish Fox, who was at the head of the Foxtrot network.

As previously reported by the media, it is believed that the criminal network Foxtrot, headed by Iraqi Kurd Rawa Majid, who grew up in Uppsala and is currently in Turkey, is responsible for the latest wave of attacks in Sweden.

An internal rift in the Foxtrot network set off a bloody spiral of revenge. On one side of the conflict is the infamous leader Majid who is also known as the Kurdish Fox, and on the other side is his until now closest associate Ismail Abdo aka Jagoda.

In the past few weeks, 12 people have been killed. Several crimes took place in Majid’s former hometown of Uppsala. Sources tell “Aftonbladet” that relatives of both men are now fleeing Sweden.

Both Majid and Abdo are believed to be in Turkey. According to “Aftonbladet’s” information, many of their relatives also went there.

The spiral of violence began when Ismail Abdo’s mother was killed in the Upsala district of Granby. The killing is believed to have been ordered by Majid.

“We will not stop until Fox is dead or caught,” a source close to Abdo told Sweden’s “Eksprensen”.

Sveriges Television reports that this was preceded by two murders in Istanbul, Turkey.

But it is assumed that this conflict dates back to an earlier case. Namely, rumors are circulating in the Swedish underground that Maajid is suspected of having participated in a double game in which he stole narcotics from Abdo.

An interesting coincidence is that four days ago in Belgrade, at the request of the Kingdom of Sweden, Swedish citizen V. M. (37), who is also a member of the infamous “Foxtrot” group, was arrested.

Allegedly, as reported by the media, the arrested Swede in Belgrade was the main link in the drug ring. His task was to connect dealers from Serbia and Montenegro with “colleagues” from Scandinavia, that is, with members of his clan who further distributed narcotics, N1 reports.
