The acting prosecutor of the District Public Prosecutor’s Office of Banjaluka proposed detention for the woman whose initials are S.L. (32) and the man D.B. (33), both from Gradiska, on suspicion of having committed violence against a child.

Determining the custody measure was proposed to the Basic Court in Gradiška after questioning the suspects due to reasonable suspicion that they have committed the criminal offense of violence in the family or family community, the Banja Luka District Public Prosecutor’s Office announced.

“From May to August 27, the suspects threatened the tranquility, physical integrity and mental health of the child,” the statement said.

The prosecutor submitted a proposal for the determination of a detention measure due to the existence of special circumstances that indicate that the suspect will interfere with the criminal proceedings by influencing witnesses, and due to special circumstances that justify the fear that the suspect will repeat the criminal offense.

The judge for the preliminary proceedings of the Basic Court in Gradiška will decide on the proposal for the determination of the detention measure.
