miro-pejicA protest by farmers will take place in Sarajevo today, because the FB&H Parliament did not pass the stimulus program within the legal deadline.

The President of the Association of Farmers of B&H Miro Pejić announced that more than 700 farmers would gather in front of the FB&H Parliament, and that they plan to block traffic in at least three locations in the FB&H.

“Farmers wish to draw attention to the work of the Committee on Agriculture of the House of Representatives and the entire Parliament, which through its failures led farmers to an unenviable situation”, said Pejić to journalists.

He said that farmers wish to draw attention to the problem of the failure of adopting a stimulus program, whose deadline for adoption was 60 days since the adoption of the budget.

“This deadline expired on 6 February, and the Committee on Agriculture of the House of Representatives of the FB&H Parliament will discuss tomorrow the stimulus program”, said Pejić.

He said that the protests and blockade of traffic are a warning sign, after which farmers direct themselves solely on those deputies who are not ready to do their job responsibly.
