The spokesperson for Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Majed Al–Ansari, stated on Tuesday that approximately 300.000 citizens have returned from the southern part of Gaza to their homes in the northern part of the Strip.

During a weekly media briefing, Al–Ansari emphasized that Hamas provided intermediaries with crucial information about the hostages.

He noted that this development resolved several issues that had previously prevented Israeli authorities from allowing displaced Palestinians to return to the northern Gaza Strip.

“We are working closely with our Egyptian partners through a joint Qatari-Egyptian committee to ensure the safe transfer of citizens back to the north,” he added.

He revealed that progress had been made in the agreement regarding the hostages, confirming that Israeli hostage Arbel Yehud and two others will be released before Friday.
