600_1473683447kurbaniTurkish Foundation Diyanet, in cooperation with the Directorate for Religious Affairs of the Republic of Turkey and the Riyasat of Islamic Community in BiH, organized the sacrificing of qurbans on the first day of Eid Al-Adha in Sarajevo. Eid meat will be distributed across the country.

Sacrificial meat was donated by the citizens of the Republic of Turkey. According to the organizers, Foundation Diyanet will sacrifice and distribute the meat of 420 qurbans in BiH this year, which will be beneficial for several thousand people in BiH.

Director General for Administrative Affairs of the Directorate for Religious Affairs of the Republic of Turkey (Diyanet) Ismail Palakoglu said that the Foundation Diyanet has been implementing the campaign of sacrificing and distributing qurbans in BiH since 1993. Their aim was to distribute qurbans for 225.000 families across the world this year, and they seem to have exceeded that amount.
