bh_radio1The 69th anniversary of radio BH was celebrated today.

A few days after Sarajevo was liberated from the occupiers, on 10 April 1945 Radio Sarajevo started broadcasting with the help of the German radio station.

“Death to fascism, freedom to people, this is Radio Free Sarajevo”, was the first sentence of the first speaker Đorđe Lukić Cigo, after preparations for the launch of the program were completed, announced BHRT.

History will remember the lieutenant’s liberation Army Alija Nehbegović, who had the task to create conditions for launching a radio.

BH Radio 1 declared this year, from 10 April 2014 until 10 April 2015, “Year of radio” and this radio will try to improve its actuality, objectivity and identity and to become an even more relevant source in the BH media market until the 70th anniversary.

Independent Employee Union of RTV service will celebrate today the existence of radio and television in B&H.

On this occasion, flowers will be sent to the memorial plaque of employees who died during the war, from 1992 to 1995, followed by an exhibition of photographs of employees of RTV. Dalibor Beran is the author of this exhibition.
