Although the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina passed a Decision declaring July 11, 2023, the day of remembrance of the genocide in Srebrenica, as the Day of Mourning in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, some media still ignored this decision.

Namely, “Radiotelevisija Herceg-Bosne” played music tracks that are not in accordance with the Day of Mourning in its radio program today.

This media directly disobeyed the decision of the Government of the Federation of BiH, but also showed disrespect towards the victims of the genocide in Srebrenica.

We remind you that the Day of Mourning is marked by the mandatory display of the flag of Bosnia and Herzegovina at half-mast, that is, on the buildings of the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the institutions of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

On the Day of Mourning, cultural and entertainment programs cannot be held in public places in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Media houses in the territory of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina are obliged to harmonize and adapt their program content to the Day of Mourning.

In the explanation, it was pointed out that the Decision was made in order to express condolences and sympathize with the families of the victims, and to remember the genocide in Srebrenica, Klix.ba reports.
