Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina Fahrudin Radoncic spoke in Sarajevo on Wednesday with the Head of the OSCE Mission to BiH Kathleen Kavalec on measures which the country is taking to combat the pandemic, but also on several other areas, such as coordination and transparency in the collection and distribution of humanitarian aid, the situation at the border crossings and the manner of retention of BiH citizens upon their return to BiH.
Minister Radoncic informed Ambassador Kavalec that tents at border crossings were used only during the necessary medical triage and until the competent epidemiological services issue decisions to citizens for quarantine in their municipalities.
In addition, he informed Kavalec about the procedure of opening of airports for the possible arrival of passengers, which is the exclusive competence of the Council of Ministers of BiH, and the BiH Ministry of Security is responsible for the issues of goods transportation, repatriation and other exceptions regulated by an earlier decision of the Council of Ministers of BiH.
Both sides stated that Bosnia and Herzegovina has done a good job and has adopted timely measures in stopping the spread of coronavirus pandemic and that it is very important to maintain the current state.
