Railway traffic on the line Sarajevo-Bihac should be started on July 1, 2018, after the completion of the process of electrification of 47 kilometers long Una railroad, section Bihac – Blatna, as announced by the Railways of the BiH.

The Director of the Railways of the FBiH, Enis Dzafic, stated that the price of the return ticket from Sarajevo to Bihac will amount to 62 BAM, and students, retirees, children, journalists and others will have a right to discount.

“There are also sleeping cabins for one or two persons, and every set will have five sleeping cabins. They will be additionally leased. The price of a cabin for one person is 40 BAM, and for two persons 25 BAM,” said Dzafic.

According to him, the cabins were provided due to the fact that the train on that route, Sarajevo – Bihac, will operate during the night-time hours.

“Cabins are equipped with showers as well,” noted Dzafic.

Works are currently conducted on the rehabilitation of the contact network on the section Blatna – Bihac, as noted from the Railways of the FBiH.

To recall, the Railways of the FBiH will, after 27 years, manage to realize connection of all larger towns in BiH into a unique railroad network.
