[wzslider autoplay=”true”]In the center of the capital of BiH was held a rally of support called “Sarajevo – to capitals of the world for Aleppo and Syria”, where a large number of citizens gathered yesterday.

Meeting officially ended five minutes before 4 pm, and Sarajevo officially joined a number of cities that have recently provided support for Aleppo, Syria.

Besides citizens, rally of support was attended by representatives of cultural associations, civil society organizations, academic and religious communities, and the main message was that “Peace is not everything, but everything without peace is nothing.”

On this occasion, citizens were addressed by the Mayor of the city of Sarajevo, Ivo Komsic, who said that this town knows what war suffering, killing and hunger truly mean.

“More than a thousand children was killed in Sarajevo, we have the right to raise our voices against killing of civilians,” said Komsic.

President of HDK “Napredak”, Franjo Topic also called for the rescue of Aleppo and other Syrian cities, adding that its fortune does not mean anything to the warriors and that they are destroying it.

“The war is a bunch of injustice and lies. We remember how it is when our cries never get any understanding,” said Topic, adding that there is no holy war, but only a holy peace and that we need to advocate for it.

With the rally of support, Sarajevo joined the active worldwide campaign #StandWithAleppo.
