What are Reactions from the RS regarding Revision of the Lawsuit?

izetbegovic2Yesterday in Sarajevo City Hall was officially decided: BiH will start revision of the lawsuit against Serbia.

Consultations were held under the auspices of the member of the Presidency of BiH Bakir Izetbegovic, and organized by the Foundation “Justice for BiH” and the Institute for Research of Crimes against Humanity and International Law. The meeting was attended by a large number of experts in law, officials of BH institutions and non-governmental organizations.

Meanwhile – the first reactions from the RS arrived, and for N1 spoke Vukota Govedarica, the President of the SDS, and Nedeljko Cubrilovic, the President of RSNA.

Reactions are as expected – harsh.

“There is no doubt that in this marathon race Izetbegovic went further than Dodik. Without any doubt, he decided to jeopardize Dayton. This is unreasonable decision behind which is not BiH – but social and political defiance of one of the three members of the Presidency of BiH,” said Govedarica.

“Bakir Izetbegovic should remember this day well. The 17th of February is the beginning of the end of his political career. I publicly invite him to respond if the International Court of Justice rejects the revision – will he take the responsibility and resign from the Presidency of BiH”, said the president of the SDS.

Cubrilovic said that the procedure of revision of the lawsuit of BiH against Serbia will not contribute to good relations within BiH.

“It will contribute to negative passion and emotion from all sides. To use the past to destroy the present and the future is not a prudent decision,” said Cubrilovic.

The current mayor of Srebrenica, Mladen Grujicic, commented the situation as well.

“Everything that we are retroactively going back to, will not bring anything good,” said Grujicic, who said that he wants policy without ethnic differentiation in Srebrenica.
