About 180 migrants from the Temporary Reception Center “Miral” in Velika Kladusa arrived at the Reception Center “Lipa” near Bihac.

This action of the Service for Foreigners Affairs in BiH was carried out with the assistance of the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies and the Police of the Una-Sana Canton. It started early this morning and was carried out without incident. The goal of the action is the final closure of the Reception Center “Miral” in Velika Kladusa, which was opened as a temporary solution in 2018, BHRT writes.

“Our estimate was about 300 migrants, but finally there were 180 of them in Miral this morning. Miral is being closed by the decision of the BiH Ministry of Security. Now a total of 430 migrants are staying at the Lipa Reception Center. Lipa will continue to do so in the coming period, said Mirsad Buzar, Deputy Director of the Service for Foreigners Affairs in BiH.

Between 1,800 and 2,200 migrants are currently staying in reception centers in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is why the Service for Foreigners in BiH says that the migrant crisis in BiH has not been more stable since 2018.
