Pope FrancisAccording to the program, published at the website Papa.ba, the head of Vatican arrives to Sarajevo from Rome on 6th June at 9.00 a.m. Half an hour later, the welcoming ceremony will be organized in front of the Presidency, and after that Pope will meet with members of Presidency of BiH.

Accreditation of media for following visits of the head of Vatican started on 27th April and will last until 15th May. Deadline for accreditation will not be extended.

At 11.00 a.m., the Holy Mass and preaching of the Holy Father will follow at stadium Kosevo, after which Pope will dine with BH bishops. At 4.20 p.m. Pope will meet with priests, monks and nuns, seminarians and will hold a speech in the Sarajevo Cathedral. After that, Pope will go to the Franciscan International Center where he will also hold a speech at 5.30 p.m. and meet with youth an hour later in the Archdiocesan Center for Youth “John Paul II“.

The Head of Vatican will say goodbye to Sarajevo same day at 7.45 p.m.

All believers that want to participate at the Eucharist celebration with Pope Francis at stadium Kosevo, need to register in their parish office, and pastor will then register his believers to the Office for registration of believers in Sarajevo (Catechetical Office of Vrhbosna Archdiocese), no later than on Monday, 11th May.

Although organizers will seek to enable as large number of believers as possible to be at the stadium, including the pitch and running track as well, there is a possibility that all believers won’t be able to fit inside the stadium. Because of that big screens will be placed in front of the stadium, and Pope Francis will, while driving in Popemobile, greet these believers as well. Advantage at the stadium will have those who register earlier.
