taylor_chris_pianoSarajevo Art in cooperation with Sarajevo Music Academy is organizing a recital of American piano star Christopher Taylor on 16 April, at the House of B&H Armed Forces.

Christopher Taylor in the last few years has become one of the most prominent American musicians. The public and critics greet the intensity and art that he brings to the art pieces of masters from Bach to Beethoven, Boulez and Bolcolm.

Numerous awards confirm his prominent position in the music world. He is the winner of the prestigious award “Avery Fisher Career Grant” 1996 and bronze medal in 1993 at the “Van Cliburn”, an international piano contest.

Christopher Taylor in the last several seasons has had concerts all over world, Europe, Asia and South America. He has performed with many orchestras in the USA, among which are New York and Los Angeles Philharmonics, Atlanta and Houston Symphony and as solo has performed in prestigious concert halls Carnegie Hall, Washington Kennedy Center and Alice Tully Hall, as well as at festivals in Ravinja and Aspen and in many others.

After concert tours in American West Coast and Canada, Taylor will present to the Sarajevo public an exceptional program – integrated performances of Bach’s Goldberg Variations and the third piano sonata by Sergej Prokofjev.
