Record Number of blocked Accounts in BiH

The number of blocked accounts of business entities in Bosnia and Herzegovina is growing from year to year, and according to a new report by the Central Bank of BiH, it is now 100,828.

The number of companies with at least one blocked account is huge, and according to the Report on Blocked Accounts in the Unified Register of Accounts of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the total number of such companies at the end of February was 54,638.

If we compare the report with the month before, that is, with the situation at the end of January, we see that the number of blocked accounts of business entities increased by 551, and the number of companies that have at least one blocked account increased by 349.

Among those whose accounts have been blocked are companies from various fields. Thus, this list includes construction, transport, trade shops, hairdressers, pharmacies, restaurants, bakeries, and companies from many other areas, and some public companies, local communities, municipalities, sports federations have blocked accounts…
