13472397_1209859619064992_26866566_nAccording to previous statistical parameters, the largest number of overnight stays in Republika Srpska were made in stationed and already formed tourist destinations, stated the entity Ministry of Trade and Tourism.

The largest number of overnight stays is still being recorded in the winter center Jahorina and the spa-treatment complex Banja Vrućica near Teslić.

Upon the proposal by the Ministry of Trade and Tourism, the entity Government formed a Commission for the mapping of tourist destinations and tourist products which would be presented and promoted on the tourist marked in an adequate way.

Members of the Commission are representatives of the Chamber of Commerce, Tourist Board and the Ministry of Trade and Tourism. As key criteria in defining priority fields, places and destinations for the development of tourism, the Commission analyzed their impact on the economic growth of that BiH entity, as well as some other parameters such as the Physical Plan of RS until 2025 and physical plans on local levels, and the proposal of the Strategy for the development of tourism in the RS until 2020.

By analyzing data and recommendations, the Commission suggested that tourist destinations are identified as areas which are characterized with attractive tourist motives, with already established tourist offer, and which recorded growth in the domain of tourism in the RS.

Ranking was also conducted on the basis of the analysis of the situation on the field in local communities, thus they are marked as cities/municipalities of first, second and third rank.

In addition, the Commission identified tourist products in destinations in the RS and the total offer of that entity in terms of following types of tourism: urban, alpine, spa, adventure, religious, youth, eco (tourism in national parks and protected areas), cultural-historical, student and science-educational, and country tourism.
