organska-hrana-1In the village of Kamenjača near Donji Vakuf a regional center for organic food opened.

This ended the first phase of the project Society for Production, Transport, Trade and Services d.o.o Sarajevo (ESOF-Eco Sustainable Organic Food), whose goal is the production of organic food, above all vegetables, and with the use of exclusively organic resources.

Six professional and automated greenhouses for organic production have been installed, with an individual area of 500 square meters. The investor and partner for the project is Matar Juma All Muhairi from the United Arab Emirates, who announced the continuation of cooperation with the municipality of Donji Vakuf and the construction of 14 new greenhouses.

For the mayor of Donji Vakuf Huso Sušić, the project is very important because it would enable the production of healthy food and new jobs.

“This is a pilot project, and the chance offered to us should not be ignored. Donji Vakuf is known for its valuable and honest people, and I am sure that for several years we will have a lot more parcels under such greenhouses, where will will produce organic food’’, he said.

A ten-year agreement has been signed with the company Bio Agrar International from Germany that guaranteed the purchase of products from greenhouses in Donji Vakuj.
