The High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of B&H (VSTV B&H), in cooperation with the Embassy of the Kingdom of Norway in B&H, will organize today in Sarajevo a regional conference called ‘Independence and Accountability of the Judiciary in Western Balkan Countries-Status and Challenges’.
In addition to the introductory speeches of the President of VSTV B&H Milorad Novković and the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway to B&H Vibeke Lilloe, Professor at the Faculty of Law in Zagreb and member of the National Judicial Council of Croatia Alan Uzelac and international expert legal advisor in VSTV B&H Marius Urke will also speak and will hold a presentation on the topic of the conference.
During the panel discussion, which will be moderated by judge in the B&H Constitutional Court Zlatko Knežević, the main challenges of an independent and accountable judiciary in B&H, Serbia, Macedonia, Croatia and Montenegro will be presented.
Conclusions of the conference will also be presented, which will be summarized and presented by representative of the European Judicial Network (ENCJ) Judge Geoffrey Vos.
